Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui PAMSIMAS: Studi Aksi Partisipatif untuk Peningkatan Kesejahteraan Sosial Ekonomi di Desa Jatijajar

Abstract

Limited access to clean water and adequate sanitation remains a
fundamental challenge in rural areas of Indonesia, directly affecting
public health and socio-economic well-being. The Community-Based
Drinking Water and Sanitation Program (PAMSIMAS) was designed
as a participatory intervention to address these issues. This article
aims to analyze the process of community empowerment through the
implementation of PAMSIMAS in Jatijajar Village using a Participatory
Action Research (PAR) approach. The study positions the community
as the main actor in problem identification, action planning,
implementation, and reflection on the resulting social and economic
impacts. The findings indicate that collaborative community
participation not only improves the quality and accessibility of clean
water but also contributes to strengthening local economic activities,
particularly household-based enterprises and the agricultural sector.
These findings underscore that the integration of PAR within
PAMSIMAS plays a crucial role in promoting the sustainability of
clean water management and enhancing the socio-economic wellbeing
of
rural communities
